Ilan Ezra

Ilan Ezra advises on complex transactions, exits and corporate restructuring, including mergers, demergers and transfers of business operations between companies. He brings more than 30 years of tax experience spanning the Israel Tax Authority, a Big Four firm and academia.

Education

Ilan holds a B.A. in Economics and Accounting from Tel Aviv University, an LL.B. and an M.B.A.

Israel Tax Authority Experience

Ilan served as a Senior Team Leader and a member of the management team at the Large Enterprises Assessing Office. He played an active role in developing and enacting the restructuring provisions of the Israeli Income Tax Ordinance and served as the first head of the Restructuring Department at the Israel Tax Authority’s headquarters. The department handles mergers, acquisitions, demergers and other corporate reorganizations.

KPMG

Ilan spent approximately 20 years as a senior partner in KPMG’s Tax Department, advising major companies on tax planning, transactions and dealings with the Israel Tax Authority.

Academia

Ilan heads the Department of Accounting at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, where he has taught taxation as a senior lecturer for more than 25 years.
